We are so excited at the great response from the alumni to dance in concert. It truly will be the biggest and best yet! I know many of you have been patiently waiting to learn of the rehearsal schedule and costume needs. Hopefully this will be helpful as you make your plans for that week.
Costume Info:
Everyone will wear the reunion t-shirt - if you did not order one, please let me know and you will be able to purchase one on the evening of costume checkout.
Men will need a pair of medium blue colored jeans (no holes of course) and light colored athletic shoes.
Women will need white bobby socks and white ked-type shoes. Fishnets are not necessary, although I would suggest suntan colored sheer-to-waist hose.
The team will furnish the ladies with a skirt and matching dance trunks.
Rehearsal schedule:
Thursday, April 1 7-9 pm in 270-278 RB. We will be holding a practice for those living close enough to attend. We will work on section 4 from 7-8 and the sections 1-3 from 8-9.
Wednesday, April 7 Costume checkout at 8:00 pm in the Ballroom Dance Office 288 RB. Rehearsal will follow from 9-11 pm in 134 RB. (I know this is late but it was the only time we could find a space large enough to accomodate us.)
Thursday, April 8 Rehearsal from 11-12 pm in 270 RB. (I realize this may be a difficult time for some but I thought it would be helpful especially for those coming in from out of town.)
Thursday, April 8 5-6 pm in the Marriott Center. This will be our only opportunity on the floor so everyone must be in attendance.
There are not very many practices scheduled so it is important that you learn your section as best you can prior to arriving on Wednesday. Please forward this information onto your partners as I do not have everyone's email address. If you have decided to not perform, please let me know. We have others who are waiting for spots to open up.

The alumni number for the Concert will be a Swing. It will have three different segments and one finale—all different styles of Swing. Once you watch the video, please 1)secure a partner (contact “era” reunion chairperson for help), 2)select your preferred segment, then 3)email Marci Edgington your partner and choice as soon as possible. She will try to accommodate all requests and then post a list of those alumni assigned to each segment on this website. You can start learning the choreography as soon as you like, but please have it learned by Wednesday, April 7th.
