Students that are members of the BYU Ballroom Dance team provide a vital role as emissaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as they tour the world in an attempt to bring their love of the Gospel, Jesus Christ and dance to the world. As you can imagine with these activities, they incur many costs in addition to the standard school tuition and therefore, can use all the help they can get. Please consider a donation to the BYU Ballroom Dance Scholarship program to help these students.

There are many different options for donating to the BYU ballroom dance program.  If we all contribute every year, even just a little, together we can make a BIG difference!

The Ballroom Alumni Scholarship Fund ($5 to $5,000):  This fund was established two years ago for the purpose of providing ballroom alumni an opportunity to collectively fund full and half-tuition scholarships by simply contributing anything from $5 to $5000 annually, monthly, or whenever you would like to donate.  An anonymous donor provided the required endowment and all we need to do as alumni to keep the scholarships active is to contribute a little every year.  To make a donation to the alumni fund click on the link below or contact Jennifer Lloyd (see below)

Tour Fee Donations ($258 or $1,000):  As you know, the tour team members must pay a fee to go on tour as well as a fee for tour clothing.  This year, 2010, the clothing is $258 and the tour fee is $1000 per team member.  If you would like to help pay for any portion of the tour fees, please contact Lee Wakefield at lw@byu.edu.

Tuition Donation ($2,200 per undergraduate semester):  A scholarship can be created for which you agree to pay the tuition for a year, or half-tuition for a year.  For more information, please contact Jennifer Lloyd (see below)

Endowed Scholarship ($50,000-$100,000):  This type of a donation creates an endowed scholarship.  The donor contributes the sum of money required for either a half-tuition or full-tuition endowed scholarship.  The interest generated from the donation then funds a scholarship each year.  The scholarships provided by interest from an endowment are unlimited (20, 30, 40+ years from a one-time donation).  Please contact Jennifer Lloyd for more information (see below)
